when willow rosenburg went over to ats for 1 episode she had no personal stake in The Drama so she was simply having a good time and amusing herself. she lightly made fun of connor (angst nexus of the season) and she gayly flirted with fred (consumed in a terrible misogynistic love triangle) and left

so, I just finished s4 of Angel

ngl, I'm disappointed with that finale 😂

I made a post at the beginning of the season (around episode 6-ish I think) and said that it's pretty bad so far and it was difficult to get through it - but then about halfway through it got soooo much better

we had Angelus, and Faith, and then the whole Jasmine thing which was so great

but then her death was kinda whatever and I can't believe it was that easy (if not easy then for sure quick) - she just seemed like a bigger threat, especially with all that build up and the pregnancy and all that idk

and I love that Lilah came back for the finale, and it's interesting that they got Wolfram & Hart, I'm curious as to how the last season is gonna look like

but the episode in itself wasn't that great of a finale sns, wasn't all that exciting, I didn't give a fuck about Connor's storyline (well, I cared about Angel and his feelings and worries, Connor not so much) and the tour of W&H didn't feel all finale idk 😂 - but it is interesting how Connor ended up this episode ngl

when it comes to the overall season.... it was interesting. it wasn't all bad, but there were things that I just couldn't stand. like, the whole Cordy and Connor thing made me sick and so uncomfortable I could barely watch their scenes. I don't like Connor in general sns. also, I don't know why but Wes and Fred make me uncomfortable too and I actually skip their scenes alone and will continue to do so, because I don't like where this seems to be going - I hate that Fred and Gunn broke up, but pls let her be single or find anyone else but Wes lmao

and I know that they were writing Cordy out bc Charisma got fired, but they did it... in a pretty bad way ngl, both Cordy and Charisma deserved so much better

but I did like all the Angel and Angelus stuff, Angelus and Jasmine were my highlights for sure (I fucking love Gina Torres), and generally the second half of the season was pretty good 💁🏻‍♀️

ngl, I kinda can't remember much that happened in the first half of the season 😂

overall I think I mostly enjoyed it, tho it was hard to get through the bad parts to get to the fun stuff haha

well, I hear that s5 is better, so can't wait to get to that haha

Ignore my previous post. My favorite character isn't Homelander anymore - it's this guy.

I'm so serious.

I've rewatched this scene about a dozen times now simply because I get a kick out of seeing 'Homelander' moving so freely / fluidly. Don't get me wrong, I love how composed the real Homelander is (almost) all the time. Hands behind his back, sometimes on his hips if he's feeling really sassy. . .

But I tend to draw him in some very exaggerated poses ( flaunting some pretty out-there color palettes ) so getting to see an iteration of him moving so animatedly while wearing this delighted me on what can only be described as a primal level.

#god okay s4 was a mess but i have things to Say about this #fundamental crucial trait of angelus is that he's just as depressed and suicidal as angel is if not more #he is as disturbed and sickened by angels humanity as angel is by his demonicness #angel has to believe that faith can be redeemed bc if she can't then what hope is there for him? #but angelus has to believe that faith is nothing but an animal 'just like me' bc otherwise #he has to confront that he is still partly human #and nothing terrifies him more #ahdjdhf I just Love when a character's posturing reveals that they're actually deeply insecure and that the other person in the scene #holds all the power (Via @faithlesbian) [x]
